Giraffe Lodge is a wonderful 6 sleepers self-catering holiday villa, available for rent in the Hoedspruit Wildilfe Estate. Hoedspruit is a small town surrounded by the Greater Kruger National Park, Blyde River and some of the most popular private game reserves of South Africa. From the Big Five game areas to the Blyde River Canyon; you can enjoy a wide range of daily activities while visiting the region. Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate is home of a variety of game species and is the perfect place to retreat into luxuriant nature. The estate is 680 ha, with each lodge set on a half-hectare stand. Game moves freely between the lodges, so you can either let the wildlife come at your doorsteps or view wild animals in their natural habitat partaking in a game drive within one of the estate’s game drive routes. A security gate with 24-hour access constantly monitors your safety. The estate is located just few hundred meters away from Hoedspruit and it is close to amenities such as restaurants, bars and shops.
Giraffe Lodge is a charming house located in the heart of the Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, an area where many different species of animals live together. Antelope, warthogs, giraffes, zebras live next door and the estate is a bird paradise. A private bush of 4,900 square meters surrounds the house which is composed of two floors. On the ground floor are located: a large living room, an open kitchen, two ample bedrooms with king size beds and the bathroom furnished with shower and bathtub. In addition, one of the two bedrooms has direct access to an outdoor shower. On the first floor, there is a bedroom with two twin beds and a balcony where you can enjoy the astonishing view of the bush and the mountains. In the outdoor area, you can enjoy a large patio with a nice splash pool to cool off during Summer. A dinner table under a nice pergola is available for a pool-side lunch or a braai with friends.
A selection of activities are offered in the area, such as game drives, golfing and horse riding. Game drives and tours are offered, and meals can be provided with prior arrangement. Housekeeping is provided on weekdays.

Giraffe Lodge has two bedrooms furnished with King-size beds.
There is a third bedroom upstairs in the loft furnished with twin beds where you can enjoy the astonishing view of the bush and mountains from the balcony.
The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The separate bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower and toilet.
A hairdryer is supplied.

The Giraffe Lodge is located in one of the most stunning areas of South Africa. The resort is well known among tourists not just for its proximity to the Kruger Park (about 40 minutes away from the Orpen Gate) but also because it accommodates a number of private reserves of the highest standard, which are home of a wide variety of animals and the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, buffalo).
Hoedspruit is not only the ideal place for Safari lovers, but it also offers many opportunities for excursions, sports and family activities. It is possible to go biking and horse riding within the Wildlife Estate and with the chance of undertaking amazing adventure trails or flying over streams and crossing forests with canopies
In close proximity, it is possible to book flights on hot-air balloons or micro-light aircraft. For golf lovers there are two easily accessible golf courses, one of them is the Hans Merensky, which is certainly one of the most incredible 18 holes golf courses in the world
Hoedspruit is strategically located near the Drakensberg Mountains; tours depart from there and take you to the beautiful and renowned Panaroma Route (Graskop, Pinnacle Rock, God’s window, Pilgrim’s Rest and Bourke’s Luck Potholes)
.The spectacular Blyde River Canyon and the three rondavelas are easily reachable in about half an hour and you can also admire them from the water, with an enjoyable boat trip, that departs from the Blyde River Dam
